Itasca Dog Park

The Itasca Dog Park is located on Rohlwing Road at the Softball Complex East Field: 704 N. Rohlwing Road, Itasca IL 60143

IPD Dog Park Rules

IPD Dog Park is a self-supervised dog park. 

The Dog Park is open sunrise to sunset every day for free.

Please do not visit the dog park if you are feeling any symptoms related to COVID-19.

Use at your own risk. The Itasca Park District and is not responsible for injury or damage to you, your dog or other property. 

All dog users must meet DuPage County
vaccinations and be up-to-date.

Dogs must be on a leash when entering and exiting
the Dog Park.

Dog handlers must be fourteen (14) years or older,
in the park within view of their dogs and carry a
leash at all times. No more than three (3) dogs
per person allowed on any one visit.

Handlers are responsible and liable for the behavior
of their dogs at all times, including injuries caused
by their dog(s).

No dogs known to be aggressive may enter the
area and must be removed at the first sign of
aggression. If an altercation or emergency occurs,
the police should be called immediately. For
emergencies, dial 911.

The small dog enclosure is only for dogs weighing
less than thirty (30) pounds. Small dogs are
allowed in the large dog area at their own risk.

Female dogs in heat are not allowed in IPD Dog
Park. Spayed/neutered dogs are recommended.

For safety reasons, children under fourteen (14)
years of age must be under the direct supervision
of an adult and are expected to behave in an
appropriate manner. No running, no chasing dogs,
no climbing on dog agility equipment, and no
petting of other dogs unless permission is
requested from the handler first.

Be polite: Pick up dog feces and dispose of them in
waste receptacles. Failure to pick up after your
dog could result in a $75 fine.

Cover any holes your dog digs.

Check with your veterinarian before bringing a puppy
under the age of four (4) months to IPD Dog Park.

No food is allowed inside IPD Dog Park.

No spiked or choke collars are allowed inside the
Dog Park.

Any person who violates IPD Dog Park Rules may
be removed and may be prohibited from returning.

If lighting detection system is activated, patrons
must exit the park.
